Tallest Dog

A great dane from the United Kingdom holds this title. Freddy stands up tall at 1.035 meters (3.39 feet for us non-metric system users). Freddy lives with his mom Claire Stoneman and claimed his title on September 13, 2016.

Smallest Cat

A male blue point Himalayan-Persian claims the title of the smallest cat on record. Tinker Toy was 7 cm (2.75 in) tall and 19 cm (7.5 in) long when he was full grown at 2.5 years old. Tiny Tinker was owned by Katrina and Scott Forbes of Taylorville, Illinois. Tinker was the runt of his litter born December 25th, 1990 and died at the age of six in November of 1997.

Oldest Animal on Land

Born 1832 Jonathan the tortoise is due to turn 187 this year making him the oldest-known land animal alive. Jonathan has resided on the remote island of St Helena in the South Atlantic since 1882. In his lifetime he has lived through two world wars, the French revolution, seven British monarchs, and 39 US presidents. He is older than the first postage stamp )1840), the first skyscraper (1885) and the Eiffel tower (1887). He has outlived the oldest person ever by 65 years. Though he is losing his eyesight and his sense of smell, Jonathan has excellent hearing and is in good health.

Highest-Ranking Penguin

Attention! Being presented to you now is Sir Nils Olav, The world’s highest-ranking penguin. Sir Nils is a resident at the Edinburgh Zoo in Scotland, UK. He is not just a mascot for the Norwegian royal guards but has been granted knight ship from King Herald V of Norway. Working his way up from sergeant in 1987, the penguin received his newest promotion in 2016 and wears his title proudly.

Highest Jump by a Pig

Pigs may not be able to fly, but they can jump! August 22, 1994, Kotetsu, a pot-bellied pig achieved a 70 cm high leap. Kotetsu won his award at Mokumoku Tedsukuri Farm in Mie Prefecture, Japan, giving him a spot in the world record book.

Ballin Bunny

Bini is no ordinary bunny. This five-year-old pet bounced his way into the world records by completing the most slam dunks in a minute. Within 60 seconds Bini can put his miniature basketball into the hoop 7 times. This Bunny enjoys art, practicing his basketball skills, and napping.
